Samuel Earl Morris, “Sammie Earl”, was born on November 18, 1965 to Mrs. Lettie Morris and the Late Elder L.J. Morris. Sammie is a 1983 graduate of Hattiesburg High. He went on to further his education and received a degree in accounting. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1994 and resided there until he moved home in November 2022. Sammie was a member of Carter Memorial COGIC, under the leadership of the late Bishop Frank Ellis. Bishop Carl Pierce became his pastor shortly after the passing of Bishop Ellis. On Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 4:00 AM, Samuel took his rest to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his father, Elder L.J Morris; son, Willie Earl Morris, and brother-in-law, Ricky Mason, Sr. Samuel leaves to cherish his memories, “His Queen”, his mother, Lettie Morris; two sisters: Francene Mason and Vickie Lewis, all of Hattiesburg, MS; one brother, Minister Reginald (Melia) Morris of Hattiesburg, MS; four nieces: Audri’Anna Morris, Paris Morris, Destiny (Travis) Evans, and Kennedi Morris; one nephew, Ricky Mason, Jr.; his best friend, Barbara “Rabbit” Walker; one godson, Edward Rashad, and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
