She is survived by her husband, Bruce Sloan Sr., her sons, Bruce Sloan Jr., Isaiah Sloan, & Jeremiah Sloan (stepson). Her daughters Farris Sloan (Carlos) & Brittany Roberson (Eddie) Goddaughter. Her sisters: Janice Russell, Brinda Haynes (Harold), Pearnell Roberts, Paula Shavers (Van), Johnnie Mae Oliver, Sheron Thomas (Harry), Dorothy Mobley (Steve), Susa Wade (George), and Shanda Roberts. Lisa graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1981 and continued working as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA). She married her husband, Bruce, November 16, 1985, officiated by Brother Hughlon Jackson in the presence of oved ones. Lisa continued to work as a CNA, work that she truly loved. Lisa loved caring for her clients and those who knew her would say how she loved and cared for others tremendously. Before her retirement, Lisa did private nursing care, many for clients who were on hospice – many relatives of those previous clients still rant and rave at how wonderful of a caretaker she was. During the end of her life here on earth, Lisa was met with great challenges, but stood the course and believed in the works of The Almighty. Her daughter, Farris, was blessed to become the caretaker to her that Lisa had been to many others earlier in her earthly life. Through care from her children, family, and close friends she was able to adjust to this earthly life by becoming closer to our heavenly father Jehovah God.
